Kaplan type turbine is widely used in electricity production which is suitable for micro hydro power plant work at low water head and big flow. Kaplan turbine generator has dual adjustment performance which means the guide blades and runner blades are both adjustable. therefore, Kaplan turbine generator is able to keep stable operation and high efficiency whil the heads and loads change greatly.

The Axial water turbine((Kaplan)) is suitable for low and medium heads from 2 to 30 meters. the runner of machine can work with fixed and adjustable accordingly to situtation on site.the fixed blade propeller water turbine is used for medium and small sites with small variation of head and load, and the Kaplan turbine is used for medium and large sites with large variation of head and load.
Kaplan turbine is the most widely used water turbine for low head run-off-rive small (200KW-3000KW) hydro power plant with its simple structure and big flow discharge capacity.
