Brief introduction of turbine structure and main component

1. Water inlet parts
The water inlet part is composed of Z941H-10C-700 electric gate valve and φ700 expansion joint. Gate valves are used to shut down the unit in still water when a shutdown is required, and are also used to shut down the unit and cut off the flow in dynamic water in case of unit emergency and turbine distributor failure. The telescopic joint is used to compensate for installation errors and is convenient for disassembly during maintenance. The drain valve is located at the bottom of the expansion joint.
2. Volute
The volute is a cast weldment with fixed guide vanes inside. The volute should make the water become the vortex number of the water flow, and guide the water to flow into the guide vane device and the runner regularly along the circumference. It has a bleed valve at the top of the volute to let the air out during the initial filling.
3. Turbo distributor
It is composed of guide vane, guide vane rod, shaft sleeve, front cover, rear cover and so on. It can form or change the vortex number of the water flow to adjust the flow of the turbine according to the change of the load. It is also used for normal and emergency shutdowns. The shape, size, number and position of the 12 guide vanes are similar to those of the approved model turbine and shall ensure that the water flow will not cause vibration during operation. The diameter of the guide vane spacing circle is 720mm. The guide vane has hydraulic torque performance with self-closing tendency in the range of full opening to close to no-load opening. There should be a certain margin for the maximum opening of the guide vane. Each guide vane is equipped with a stop block, which can control the guide vane to swing within a certain range, and when the shear pin breaks, it will not collide with other guide vanes. The guide vanes are made of ZG06Cr13Ni4Mo and should be interchangeable. Each guide vane is precision machined; the contact line of adjacent guide vanes should be completed to ensure that all guide vanes are in full contact in the closed state to reduce water leakage. The bearings of the guide vane shaft and the distributor shaft are self-lubricating sliding bearings; the bearing bush is made of steel-backed composite material. Use the vane stem end caps and bolts to adjust and maintain the position of each vane to the front and rear covers. A seal is located on the upper vane shaft to shut off flow. The whole control ring is welded by steel plate. Lubricated circular guides and terminal blocks are located on the underside of the control ring. The control ring has sufficient strength and stiffness not to bend excessively due to the unbalanced stress of the servo motor.
4. Runner
The runner is integrally cast and welded, and the crown, belt and blades are made of ZG06Cr13Ni4Mo stainless steel, which has good cavitation resistance, corrosion resistance and weldability. The shape of each runner blade should be processed in accordance with GB/T 10969 "Code for water channel components of water turbines". The runners are welded and heat treated according to special specifications, and non-destructively tested according to relevant standards. The runners are statically balanced after machining. Set 10 Φ24 holes on the top of the runner to reduce the pressure exerted by the water on the runner.
5. Spindle service seal
The spindle service seal is a packing component located on the spindle through the front cover. Maintenance Seal tight, anti-friction, simple, easy to observe, maintain and replace. A stainless steel wear ring is located where the spindle contacts the packing. The packing is made of reinforced PTFE, which is anti-friction and anti-corrosion.
6. Spindle part
It is composed of main shaft, flywheel and so on. This type of hydroelectric generating set adopts a four-point structure. The main shaft is made of 45# high-quality carbon structural steel. The disc-type cast flywheel stabilizes the unit during adjustment. Connect the main shaft and the runner with a flat key to meet the interchangeability. The turbine and generator are connected by a spring coupling for easy installation.
7. Draft tube assembly
The draft tube assembly is composed of the air inlet connecting pipe, the draft tube elbow and the draft tube cone, which guides the water flow into the downstream, uses the potential energy of the water flow at the suction height, and recovers the main kinetic energy of the water flow at the outlet of the runner through its diffusion. All connecting flanges shall be sealed, and the immersion depth of the draft tube shall not be less than 30cm to prevent air from entering the draft tube. Intake device: Inject natural air into the lower part of the runner through the top of the draft tube to ensure the stable operation of the steam turbine when the guide vane is partially opened.
8. Bearing
The front bearing is a radial thrust sliding bearing, which can bear radial and axial loads. The thrust disc rotates and the oil passes through the oil plate, which then provides cooling and lubrication for the bearing pads and thrust pads. The cooler is located at the bottom of the bearing.
